FunGem ("we", "us", "our") operates the website fungem.io. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What we collect

FunGem is designed to work without accounts or logins. Here is what we process:

• YouTube URLs you paste — sent to our server to fetch the video transcript.
• Video transcripts — temporarily held in memory during processing. Not stored after your session ends.
• Generated content — summaries, quizzes, and mindmaps are created on-the-fly and sent to your browser. We do not store them on our servers.
• Basic analytics — we may collect anonymized usage data (page views, feature usage) to improve the product. No personal identifiers are tied to this data.

2. What we do NOT collect

• Names, email addresses, or phone numbers (no account required).
• Payment information (during the free period). When paid plans launch, payment is handled entirely by Razorpay — we never see or store your card details.
• IP addresses for tracking purposes. Server logs may temporarily contain IPs for security but are rotated regularly.

3. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — your video transcript text is sent to Anthropic's API to generate summaries, quizzes, and mindmaps. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to data processed by their API. We send only transcript text, never personal data.
• YouTube — we fetch publicly available captions/transcripts using YouTube's transcript data. We do not access your YouTube account.
• Razorpay (future) — when paid plans launch, Razorpay will handle all payment processing. We will never store card numbers on our servers.

5. Data retention

We do not retain your video transcripts or generated content after your browser session ends. No user data is stored in a database tied to you personally.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Request access to any personal data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Opt out of analytics tracking.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Children's privacy

FunGem is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of FunGem after changes constitutes acceptance.
